Legendary NASCAR team owner visits Grand Prairie Ford

Thursday evening legendary NASCAR team owner Jack Roush visited Grand Prairie Ford for a fan meet and greet to promote the Samsung 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway, April 6.

Fred Ryel traveled from Tulsa, Ok to get Jack Roush to sign a body part from a wrecked race car driven by Mark Martin and owned by Roush.  Roush visited Grand Prairie Ford Thursday to sign autographs for his fans.  ©Bob Fitch - 2008 All Rights Reserved

Roush, making his only appearance in 2008 at a Texas automotive dealership, was greeted by hundreds of fans that came from as far away as Tulsa, Oklahoma to shake his hand and get an autograph. 

Roush, affectionately known as “The Cat in the Hat” for his ever-present Panama hat is the CEO and co-owner of the Concord, North Carolina based Roush Fenway Racing. 

Roush Racing fields five cars in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, six cars in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, and three trucks in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Drivers include Matt Kenseth, Mark Martin, Greg Biffle, and Carl Edwards
