Cab driver found murdered
Grand Prairie police are investigating the homicide of a taxi cab driver found sitting inside her cab parked on a quite residential street Sunday.
Police spokesman Detective John Brimmer said officers found Lois Jean Ivory, 53, of DeSoto dead inside her cab parked in the 100 block of Dorris Drive around 9:00 p.m. Sunday night.
Brimmer said Ivory suffered at least one gun shot wound. He also said that due to the sensitive nature of the investigation no further information about the murder could be released at this time.
