Red Flag Warning extended through Wednesday

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a Red Flag Warning for Grand Prairie from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.

A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry vegetation will create explosive fire potential. Avoid all outside burning, do not toss lit cigarette butts outside or work welding equipment outside. Do no run vehicles over grassy areas either.

Report wild fires to the nearest fire department or law enforcement office. Listen to NOAA radio or go to the National Weather Service web site for later forecasts and possible changes of fire weather conditions.
