Dallas Sheriff's Department's Courtesy Patrol out and ready
Deputy Michael Ortiz said the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department wanted to remind everyone that the Courtesy Patrol Division is ready to help stranded motorist on Dallas County highways.
He said stranded motorist should always remember that they may contact the Courtesy Patrol through 1-800 number located on the reverse side of their driver’s license for Road Side Assistance. This number is often overlooked because it is printed so small.
Motorist may also call the Dallas Sheriff’s Department at 214-749-8641 and a Courtesy Patrol officer will be sent to assist, Deputy Ortiz said.
Last year the Courtesy Patrol Division made 83,619 motorist assists.
