Two schools receive top honors

Friday Keep America Beautiful recognized four Grand Prairie schools with two winning top honors for their accomplishments related to environmental education and stewardship.

 

The schools recognized:

  • David Daniels Elementary Academy – First Place National Award in the Litter Prevention Category for Schools.
  • Travis Elementary School – First Place National Award in the Community Improvement and Beautification Category for Schools.
  • Grand Prairie High School – Second Place National Award in the Community Improvement and Beautification Category for Schools
  • Dickinson Elementary – Third Place National Award in the Waste Reduction Category for Schools.

The award winning schools all participate in the Green & Clean Campus Program, which is a partnership between the Grand Prairie ISD and the City of Grand Prairie” Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful Program.
